Don’t get too excited. Core Graphics isn’t the same as Core Image or Core Animation. Core Graphics sits on a lower level. Core Foundation even lower.
True, I’d hate to be the guy who has to port Core Animation to Windows….
Perhaps now you could use Quartz from OpenStep…
Isn’t CoreAnimation going to be built on top of OpenGL and for all the 3D stuff and CoreGraphics for 2D? In that sense it may be ‘easier’.
CoreFoundation - it’s interesting that Apple still choose to use an abstraction layer over BSD, almost a decade on.
Did anyone say Windows Presentation Foundation?

My name is Mal McKay, this is my personal blog.
I live just outside New York City with D, my significant other. I work for a large internet company doing random internet projects. I normally live in Dublin, Ireland, though I’m actually from Falls Church, VA.
Random posts on this blog will be vaguely interesting to techie internet people.
Non techie internet people would probably be better off with reddit.com. Non internet techie people are probably called “Cobol programmers” and would not be reading this anyway.
The post where I explain the difference between vague and random hasn’t been written yet.
